Algarve Great Derby 2025. Training 8

Hello friends, Ringo here again!

Today we went out for Training 8, this time from 115 km – and guess what? It felt almost like a replay of Training 7, only even smoother.

Arrivals were super steady, flock after flock, and the numbers tell the story:

50% of the pigeons back within 10 minutes

80% home in just 15 minutes

That’s what I call sharp flying! The weather was on our side too – mild temperatures, no wind to mess us around, and clear skies all the way.

Here are the official weather notes:

Release place (8:00 AM):

Temp: 19 °C

Humidity: 78%

Wind: SO 1,8 km/h

Arrival place (10:00 AM):

Temp: 26,4 °C

Humidity: 49%

Wind: SO 4,3 km/h

So with this flight, the official training program is now complete.

Next up: the Activation Race! This time things get serious – pigeons will be basketed one by one so the trainers can check every single Benzing chip is working correctly. After the race, any reserve pigeons can be activated and join the fun.

Relax time? Forget it. The real show begins now.
