Algarve great derby team (28/08/2024):
Hello, feathered friends and followers! It’s Ringo, your go-to pigeon reporter, here with a quick update from the Algarve Great Derby. Yesterday, we completed the Activation Race from 159 kilometers, and today brought another training twist.
A Change in Routine
This morning, our usual loft training didn’t happen because Thursdays in Portugal are hunting days, and we heard some shots nearby. But no worries! The trainers used the opportunity to give us an afternoon training session in the heat—a great way to keep our breathing muscles in shape and get us used to those high temperatures that will be crucial in the races ahead.
Flying Strong in the Heat
Despite the heat, we pigeons flew marvelously, showing our strength and stamina. Even after half an hour, many of us were still eager to keep training! It’s all part of our preparation to stay in top form for the upcoming races.
