
OLR GIEWONT 2026 RULES
We invite you to participate in the International Giewont FCI One-Loft Championships.

Participation
The Championships are open to all individuals (except the organizer) who deliver their pigeons to OLR Giewont by the designated deadline and submit ownership cards and pedigrees.
Carrier pigeons born in 2026, with rings from 2026 – Polish or foreign (does not have to be FCI) – must be entered into the competition.
However, only pigeons with FCI rings (Polish or foreign) can participate in the FCI competition.
Entry fees for each pigeon require a deposit (called an advance payment on top of the entry fee) of PLN 300 or EUR 75 per pigeon, or PLN 1,200 for a typical 4+2 team, payable within 14 days of registration.
Each participant receives a receipt or VAT invoice.
The deposit is non-refundable if the pigeons are not delivered.
There is no limit on the number of pigeons entered, but a team for the Grand Prix Poland Championship is 6 pigeons, and for the FCI Championship – 6 or 12 pigeons.
Pigments must be submitted with ownership cards, pedigrees, and contact information (address and phone number – Registration Form).

Fees and Deadlines
The fee per pigeon is PLN 800 or EUR 200 (gross).
Team fee: PLN 3,200 = 4 pigeons + 2 reserves.
For every 4 pigeons entered, 2 reserves are allowed.
Deadline for pigeon submissions: March 8th to May 20th, 2026.
Pigeons will not be accepted after May 20th.
Pigeons must be vaccinated against paramyxovirus. Vaccination against smallpox is administered by the organizer.
Age of pigeons: 40–45 days upon arrival.
The pigeon census will be recorded in the user panel.
Pigeons will be registered in the Benzing system 5 days before the first training flight.
Pigeons that go missing during acclimatization are not entered into the clock.
Reserve pigeons must be paid for up to 5 days before the first competition flight.
The organizer reserves the right to accept 100 pigeons for sponsors and charitable purposes.

Health Conditions
Pigeons in poor health will be returned immediately at the owner’s expense.
In the event of an avian flu pandemic or other similar situations that result in the culling of the flock, prizes will be carried forward to the next edition.
The organizer provides care for the entrusted pigeons, including accommodation, training and competition flights, feed, vitamins, vaccinations, veterinary care, and publication of results on the website.

Training and Competitions
The competition takes place using the organizer’s private transport and training cabin (capacity: 5,500 pigeons).
The organizer plans 15 training flights with distances of:
2 km (2x), 3 km, 5 km, 15 km, 30 km (3x), 70 km (3x), and 100 km (1x).
There will be 1-2 additional training flights (approximately 50 km) between the competition flights.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, the organizer reserves the right to change the number and length of the flights.
Competition flights:
120 km (near Myszków)
160 km (near Częstochowa)
210 km (near Wieluń)
300 km (near Jarocin)
Semifinal: 350 km (near Leszno)
FCI Final: 503 km (near Lotyń)
Extra Final: 550–600 km
Extra Final:
Organized for birds finishing 200th in the final, these pigeons must participate in the Extra Final.
Activated pigeons compete for prizes, while the remaining pigeons fly without prizes.
Pigeons participating in the Extra Final that have not been activated may participate in the competition by purchasing a ticket through a third party.
This third party acquires the right to the prize, but does not become the owner of the pigeon.

Prize Collection Rules
Prizes are awarded to pigeons registered by the clock
If the electronic ring is lost, the pigeon will not receive the prize.
The clock runs 24 hours per 100 km.
Unused prize money will be carried over to the next edition.
Unpaid pigeons will lose their right to prizes.
Total prize money: PLN 2,500,000 (based on 5,000 paid pigeons).
As Pigeon results are calculated based on competitions (35% of the basketed pigeons win the competition).
The pigeon with the most competitions and the lowest coefficient wins.
Flights 1–3 (As Sprint), Flights 1–6 (As General).
Prizes are reduced proportionally if the number of pigeons is smaller.
A 10% tax is deducted from the prizes in accordance with Polish law.
Cash prizes can be paid out by the panel after the competition ends.
A bank commission is deducted for international payments.

Pigeon Auction
The best birds, selected from the flock after the competition races (decided by the organizer in cooperation with the PIPA portal), will be auctioned at the PIPA.
Portal fees are deducted from the sale proceeds on the PIPA portal, and the owner receives 50% of the net proceeds.

Starting price: minimum 300 PLN.
Divide of the auction proceeds:
40% – owner,
20% – auction costs and taxes,
40% – organizer.
