Dear participants,
the pigeons were released at 8:15 from 501 Km!
The release went well, good orientation, the pigeons went straight south. There were no signs of fog in the release area or surroundings. The weather will be very challenging on the way, with temperatures of 32 Degrees expected in the last 200 Km. The wind is almost not existing in the first half the way and W/NW on the last 250 Km changing to South wind in the last 50 Km. The humidity will also drop to 30%. All of this will make a very demanding last 250 Km.

Distance: Final Race – 501 KmHello friends, it’s Ringo for the very last time this season!
And wow… what a final it was.
The day started calm enough – mild winds, decent humidity – but just as predicted, the second half of the way turned into a true battle. Around 250 km from the loft, the side winds picked up, the humidity dropped below 30%, and the heat rose above 30 °C. And then, as if that wasn’t enough, the last 50 km came with headwinds.
Let me tell you: flying home under those conditions is no Sunday stroll. This was a race that felt like the toughest mountain stages of the Tour de France – only the strongest could push through.
But we did it! Against all odds, 141 pigeons managed to make it home on the first day – real winged heroes. A special cheer goes out to the brave first group of 6 pigeons, who arrived a full 22 minutes ahead of the rest. That was pure class.
By the second day, more than 500 pigeons had arrived, showing the resilience and shape we built together over months of training. Some even showed signs of having stopped for water along the way – because that’s how extreme this Final was.
