The last hurdle before the Grand Final!

RINGO REPORT – ALGARVE GREAT DERBY SUMMER 2025

Hello friends, Ringo here with today’s big update!

We just finished the Semi-Final – 327 km – the very last hurdle before the grand final on 3rd October.

This time, the race wasn’t a brutal challenge like some of the earlier ones. The weather was on the mild side, with friendly winds giving us a push along the way. The only tricky bit? The super dry air – humidity was really low, which can be tough on the wings and the lungs.

Still, it was no short trip: the first pigeons needed about 3,5 hours of solid flying, and more than half of the flock took over 4 hours to make it home. A proper workout to round off the season’s prep!

Now, training is complete, the Semi-Final is done, and all eyes are on the Grand Final. Time to rest, recover, and sharpen up for the biggest day of the year!
