RACE 2

Hey friends, Ringo here again – today we flew our Race 2 from 216 km.
Now, it might look like just a small step up from last week’s 200 km, but let’s not forget – anything over 200 km is still a real race!
This time, the conditions were a little kinder than in Race 1. Besides some low clouds early in the morning, there was no fog on the way and visibility stayed clear. The temperatures and humidity were also easier on us. The only thing the trainers grumbled about? The wind – it was helping a bit too much, turning the race into a fast one, faster than they would have liked.
The arrivals told the story:
The very first pigeons came in tiny groups with gaps between them.
Then later, the bigger groups rolled in one after the other, filling the sky.
Unlike last week, when we had to fly low against the wind, today we came in from higher altitude, diving down to trap. A new experience – and that’s exactly what these different races are for: building skills and experience.
From now on, the plan is to settle into a weekly race rhythm, every Monday (weather permitting). This way, all of us pigeons get enough recovery time before the next challenge.

Temp: 15,8 °C
Humidity: 92%
Wind: NO 5,4 km/h

Temp: 18,1 °C
Humidity: 74%
Wind: NO 15,8 km/h

Temp: 25,6 °C
Humidity: 36%
Wind: N 15,5 km/h

Two races down, and the rhythm is set. Every Monday: new race, new story, new heroes. Can’t wait!
